My daughter was homesick after living in the UK where they have a traditional celebratory cake (Colin the Caterpillar ) from a regional store. Mila’s was the only bakery that was willing to take on the challenge of recreating it for us. The outcome was amazing. Not only because my daughter cried when she saw it, but it was the MOST delicious cake we’ve had (and we’ve eaten more than our share of cake). I picked it up on Sunday morning and it was SO fresh. Chocolate cake roll with buttercream filling (airy, buttery and a smooth) covered by dark chocolate ganache. Ordering it again for her birthday next year (or sooner if we can find an excuse).
